Jay Prakash, 58, fondly addressed as “Chacha” ran a small tea stall in Dwarka, Sector 7. He is originally from Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh and shifted to Delhi about eight years ago. Raising up three daughters and two sons has put Jay Prakash in a difficult financial situation. With a meagre income he has the responsibility to get four of his five children married.
Chacha is an honest and hard-working man. He comes from a family that put great emphasis on education. He himself is a graduate and did a course in stenography, but as his luck would have it, he could not get a good job. He continued to work on his fields before deciding to move to Delhi, where he opened a tea stall. His business was hit badly due to lockdown.
WeCreateDREAM INDIA Team collaborated with Chacha and provided him with money to expand his business. He now runs a shop which sells cigarettes, chips, soft drinks and other eatables.
Chacha was also quite worried about the future prospects of his younger son, Himanshu, who though quite bright, is not very educated. To help Chacha out, we gave a respectable job toHimanshu, where he gets an opportunity to continuously upgrade his skill levels. Himanshu is a passionate and spirited young man and through our NGO, he is committed to help more people like his family.
There would be one such honest Chacha in your neighbourhood as well, who would be working just as hard to earn his bread but the weight on his shoulders would be pulling him down. Your little notice, your little donation, your little help can make their lives so much better.
